10 things meme
Meme: name 10 things you love that begin with a certain letter.
mistdog gave me C.
Interesting choice of letter. When I was a teenager I wanted to open a shop called "C", which only sold chocolate, candles and cacti (my three interests at the time).
Today I find that identifying ten C items is a little more revealing:
1. Canines (as long as they are big enough to be dogs, not rugs or rats - collie through to newfoundland will do)
2. Cheese. Right now I am nibbling on some french brie, with a little ground rock salt. Nom nom nom.
3. Champagne. Or if you're on a budget, cider. As long as it's Thatcher's Katy, that is.
4. Crime novels. It's taken me a long time to enjoy fiction, but now I do get pleasure from murder thrillers. (True crime is even better.)
5. Control. I need to know which things I can be in charge of, and own them. I like to be organised. But I am also learning not to waste energy on things that I cannot change.
6. Coins. I enjoy the different designs on the "tail" side of them. I particularly like the series of bridges on pound coins, and Brunel and Slavery on the £2 coin. Right now I'm trying to collect the shield set.
7. Cold. I cannot bear to be too hot. I'd always rather be too cold, trying to warm up, or enjoying the weather while wearing appropriate clothing.
8. Cities. I don't feel safe in the country where no one can hear you scream. I'd much rather be amid hustle and bustle.
9. Cars. I was brought up to appreciate them, from family runarounds to sportscars. I became a Ferrari fan as a child.
10. Computers. Don't know where I'd be without them.
Comment if you want me to give you a letter.
