Well wishers
I received get well cards from both sets of parents today.
The in-laws sent one with smarties on it, saying that smarties usually cheer people up and they hope this will do.
My mother sent one with a frog on it, saying that she looked for cards saying "sorry you cut your finger / got hit by a bus" but the selection was frankly disappointing, so have a frog instead. She also enclosed a tenner with instructions to buy something to cheer myself up.
Very typical, of both of them. But both very welcome.
