I embarrassed myself this week. Thought I'd share it with you...
I was at M&S making a complaint to two staff, a man and an Asian lady. I was asked "who did you speak to last time?"
"An Asian lady" I said, then turning to the woman I was talking to, "Not you obviously. She was much younger."
"Oh thanks!" said the woman.
"OH NO!" I cried "I'm so sorry. I mean, thinner!"
"Oh!" she said.
"NO! I mean, taller! Yes, she was taller than you... Oh I'm so sorry..."
"Don't worry" she said, smiling "I'm laughing. But you're lucky I'm laughing!"
Whoops!
