Hey man! Look at me rockin' out, I'm on the radioooooo

Pylons again: I'll be on Radio 4 tomorrow (Sunday) in The World This Weekend (1pm, Radio 4). Just pre-recorded it. Shaun Ley (who I remembered from presenting Points West when I was growing up) was lovely.

I should also be on BBC Breakfast on Thursday morning, but that hasn't been recorded yet.

I do enjoy speaking on the radio (and TV) but always feel I could have said more and was cut off too soon. Such is the nature of the beast!

We need an hour long programme JUST about pylons. No? :-)

Is this about people not wanting pylons in their area again? Hope they mentioned Mid-Wales. The whole wind farm thing is futile, criminal vandalism.

I know what you mean about interviews! :)

PS Hope the new pain management regime is improving things for you

It's because there was a new pylon design competition in the last few months; the shortlisted 6 entries were announced last month, the winner is announced this Wed.

And thanks, I'm still juggling pain meds but I THINK I'm getting there...!

Pylons

Are you watching the series on BBC 4 about the National Grid - "The Secret Life of the National Grid" ? Part 1 "Wiring the Nation" was on the other night (Thurs 6th Oct) with two more episodes to follow.

It's a repeat. The researchers did get in touch with me when they made it although they didn't have the time to feature my society in the documentary.

We made a point of putting on Radio 4 as we started driving at 1pm today: heard your section and thought you put your points well. Tony commented that every time he hears you on the radio you are impressive :-)
